Fairmont to Martinsburg to Fairmont – inwood photographer
2August 19, 2010 by Brandon S. Warren
Introducing Becca a senior from Fairmont WV, Whose family happened to enjoy my photography so much they drove out to meet me in Martinsburg a good 3 hours away. First of all it was a humbling experience to know someone would bear a ride like that , to and from to stand in front of my camera. What I loved most about this day was it was unscripted and random, They brought a few outfits that we had discussed prior and from there I picked some places I have wanted to shoot on. I immediately felt a sense of full trust in my vision for the photographs. This is something I stress to all clients looking for a photographer, find one whose portfolio you enjoy and put your trust in them . This allows them creative freedom and from there they can run.
So we shot 3 locations , one being a huge overlook local to the city I live in. Another spot was a local spot where I lust over every time I see it, Somewhat of a rock garden – still not sure what it is. The last spot was an old abandoned mill in the city next to a train station.
Everything went well and we managed to do all this in 1 and a half hours with some setting sun left over. Enjoi!
PS- To top it off they brought me 2 boxes of swiss roll cakes – Yum! ( secret addiction of a boy who dislikes sweets)

You were so worth the drive! I have tried for the last year to get Becca to agree to have her senior pictures done. She flatly refused….until…. I showed her your work. From that point on the excitement kept building. Neither of us had any real idea as to what we wanted. Our only desire was that is be unique. Formal gown in a rockpile??? Heck yeah! Overlooking the city, oh yeah! Abandoned mill??? EEEEKKKK, can’t wait! We had a blast and Shane, you CAN STOP TIME! Thank you for forever capturing her spirit and her joy of life. I am eternally grateful! I have memories to last a lifetime.

PS: I will bring you swiss rolls anytime!
Cindy you gals were so great, in this super saturated competitive world of photography were anyone can claim to be a photographer overnight , I took it on full time and alot of people said its not worth it, but you guys proved all that wrong the day you told me there were no photographers in your area that you wanted to use and that you would drive out to Martinsburg to be part of what I was doing. That was humbling and all to awesome. I can’t wait to travel to Fairmont to take care of the clients that have heard of my work through you. Till we meet again!
Cheers!!
